The short version: Potty Hero doesn't collect your data. Everything a family enters — hero names, potty goals, and stars — stays on that one device. There's no account, no server, and nothing to leak.
Potty Hero is built to work entirely on your device. The table below covers everything the app stores, and where it goes.
| Data | Where it's stored |
|---|---|
| Hero's name | On this device only |
| Potty goals & progress | On this device only |
| Stars & reward menu | On this device only |
| Face ID / Touch ID | Never leaves iOS |
| Name, email, contacts, location | Not collected |
| Analytics or advertising data | Not collected |
If you turn it on in Settings, Potty Hero can ask iOS to check Face ID or Touch ID before a parent confirms a completed potty goal and a star is awarded. That check happens entirely inside iOS's own Secure Enclave — the app only ever receives a yes or no. We never see, store, or have access to any biometric data.
Potty Hero can send a bedtime reminder to check in on today's potty goals. It's scheduled locally by iOS on your device, isn't routed through any server we operate, and no notification content is sent anywhere.
Potty Hero is a potty-training tool that a parent or guardian sets up and manages for their family, including any children who use it. We built it with children's privacy as a first principle, in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the App Store's Kids guidelines:
Because no data ever leaves the device, there is nothing for us to disclose to, or delete on request from, any third party — deleting a hero or the app itself is immediate and complete. If you have questions about how Potty Hero handles a child's information, contact us using the details in Section 08.
You're always in control. Remove a hero at any time from Settings → Remove Hero to erase their goals, stars, and history. Deleting the app removes everything else immediately, since nothing is kept anywhere but your device.
If this policy ever changes — for instance, if a future update adds an optional online feature — we'll update the effective date above and describe the change here before it applies.
