Screen Time Bank

Privacy Policy

Effective 9 September 2026 Applies to iOS app Contact esianhughes0194@gmail.com

The short version: Screen Time Bank doesn't collect your data. Everything a family enters — kids' names, tasks, and screen-time balances — stays on that one device. There's no account, no server, and nothing to leak.

01

What we collect

Screen Time Bank is built to work entirely on your device. The table below covers everything the app stores, and where it goes.

DataWhere it's stored
Kid's name(s)On this device only
Tasks & completion streaksOn this device only
Screen-time balance & redemption historyOn this device only
Face ID / Touch IDNever leaves iOS
Name, email, contacts, locationNot collected
Analytics or advertising dataNot collected
02

Face ID & Touch ID

If you turn it on in Settings, Screen Time Bank can ask iOS to check Face ID or Touch ID before a parent approves a completed task and before minutes are added or spent. That check happens entirely inside iOS's own Secure Enclave — the app only ever receives a yes or no. We never see, store, or have access to any biometric data.

03

Notifications

Screen Time Bank can send a bedtime reminder to check in on today's tasks, and an alert when an active screen-time session ends. Both are scheduled locally by iOS on your device, aren't routed through any server we operate, and no notification content is sent anywhere.

04

No ads, no analytics, no tracking

05

Children's privacy (COPPA & GDPR)

Screen Time Bank is a household task-and-screen-time tool that a parent or guardian sets up and manages for their family, including any children who use it. We built it with children's privacy as a first principle, in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the App Store's Kids guidelines:

Because no data ever leaves the device, there is nothing for us to disclose to, or delete on request from, any third party — deleting a kid's profile or the app itself is immediate and complete. If you have questions about how Screen Time Bank handles a child's information, contact us using the details in Section 08.

06

Deleting your data

You're always in control. Remove a kid's profile at any time from Settings → Remove Hero to erase their tasks, balances, and history. Deleting the app removes everything else immediately, since nothing is kept anywhere but your device.

07

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for instance, if a future update adds an optional online feature — we'll update the effective date above and describe the change here before it applies.
