Account & data deletion

Happy Heroes has no account and no server — every hero's quests, streaks, and allowance history live only in the app's local storage on your device. To delete a hero's data, go to Settings → Remove Hero inside the app. Deleting the app itself removes everything immediately, since nothing is kept anywhere else. If you have any trouble, email the support address above and we'll help.

The short version. Happy Heroes doesn't collect your data. Everything a family enters — hero names, quests, allowance — stays on that one device. There's no account, no server, and nothing to leak.

What we collect. Hero names, birthdays, quests, ticks, streaks, and allowance/payout history are all saved only in the app's local storage. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, or location, and we have no servers or database of our own to collect them into.

Face ID & Touch ID. When a parent confirms a finished quest, Happy Heroes can ask iOS to check Face ID or Touch ID first. That check happens entirely inside iOS's own Secure Enclave — the app only ever receives a yes or no. We never see, store, or have access to any biometric data.

Notifications. The evening quest reminder and timer alerts are scheduled locally by iOS on your device. They aren't routed through any server we operate, and no notification content is sent anywhere.

No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Happy Heroes has no advertising SDKs and shows no ads. It doesn't use analytics or crash-reporting tools that phone home, doesn't track you across other apps or websites, and has no login, so there's no account to tie to your identity.

Children's privacy (COPPA & GDPR). Happy Heroes is a household chore-and-allowance tool that a parent or guardian sets up and manages for their family, including any children who use it. No personal information is collected, transmitted, or shared — from children or adults. Hero names and birthdays are typed in by the parent during setup and saved only on that device; we never receive, see, or store this information ourselves. Birthday is optional and is only used to trigger an in-app birthday highlight for that hero — it is not used for age verification, is not required to activate a hero, and the app is fully functional and entertaining without it. We do not ask for parental contact information, and we use no third-party analytics or advertising of any kind. A parent or guardian is always in control and can permanently delete a hero's information at any time from Settings → Remove Hero.

Deleting your data. You're always in control. Remove a hero at any time from Settings → Remove Hero to erase their quests, earnings, and history. Deleting the app removes everything else immediately, since nothing is kept anywhere but your device.

Changes to this policy. If this policy ever changes — for instance, if a future update adds an optional online feature — we'll update the date at the top of this page and describe the change here before it applies.
